Gold Heart Pendant

Say the word "gold' and all sorts of images and associations come to mind. Everyday language is filled with golden expressions and phraseslike "a heart of gold", "silence is golden", "golden moments" and so on.
Personally, when I think of gold, I'm filled with a gentle sense of awe, perhaps because of the high value that is attached to it by cultures all over the world.

Gold has come to symbolise riches, both physical and spiritual, thehighest achievemant and an other-worldly purity, goodness and benevolence that many call the Divine. How can we use this beautiful, powerful colour and what effect will it have on us? Gold is a very spiritual colour, and has an expansive effect on the mind and awareness.Use it to help you see problems from a higher perspective and encourage mental clarity. Gold promotes understanding and helps you to see another person's point of view.

Are your nerves feeling a little bit frayed and tired? Then use gold to revitalise and boost your nervous system! Strangely enough, although ithas this stimulating effect, it's also a bringer of peace. Maybe this isbecause it enriches and fortifies the spirit, feelings, body and mind,
imparting inner strength and confidence, which in turn bring inner peace.Maybe most importantly, gold is the colour of universal love, an all encompassing love which transcends all boundaries. Is this why gold is such a wonderful healing colour, because love cures all ills?

There aren't really any negative effects to using gold although a lot ofpeople find it too powerful and rich at first. Little dashes and splashes, here and there can make a world of difference, especially on grey, rainydays. Here some ideas for how to use gold:

a) Find something gold coloured and give your eyes an optical delight.Gaze gently at it, and let youreyes "drink" in the colour.

b) Visualise yourself absorbing the rays of a golden star.

c) Paint some twigs gold and put them in a bowl or vase. They look really nice with blue flowers!

d) Why not get some cardboard and gold foil and make some stars? They make perfect decorations, especially for Xmas.

If you have kids, they'd probably love to join in you making these stars and if you don't, I have a strong feeling that this is something the child within would really enjoy doing. Much of our ability to feel joy is linked to this part of ourselves so let him or her come out to play, and remember to carry a little bit of gold in your heart everyday.
